UPDATE: Man Dressed As Woman Apprehended By Palm Bay Police After Bank Robbery

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay police officers arrested 32-year-old Lamar Coaston III on Thursday at about 12 noon on suspicion of bank robbery.

According to Palm Bay Police Lt. Mike Bandish, Coaston went into the Bank of America bank on Malabar Road dressed as a women.

“The suspect entered the bank dressed in a lime green outfit and wearing a multi colored wig,” said Lt. Bandish.

“The suspect demanded cash and implied he had a gun. He left the bank with an undermined amount of cash.”

Several officers were in the area, including Palm Bay Police Officer Roy LaVanture, who saw the suspect enter a residence, according to Lt. Bandish.

“The residence is located in a neighborhood just to the West of the bank,” said Lt. Bandish.

Coaston surrendered to police as he exited the rear sliding doors of the residence. The SWAT team was deployed, and police officers then apprehended Coaston.
