Police Charge 70-year-old Andrew John Pastor

Palm Bay Police have announced that the man shot in the officer involved shooting Wednesday night at a residence on 103 Americans Blvd. will be charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police have announced that the man shot in the officer involved shooting Wednesday night at a residence on 103 Americans Blvd. will be charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer. 

Police say 70-year-old Andrew John Pastor was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

“Officers made contact with the suspect, a 70-year-old white male, inside the home at which point the suspect brandished a firearm leading to an armed altercation between the suspect and two officers,” said Palm Bay Police Lt. Mike Bandish said Wednesday night.

According to authorities, the two Palm Bay Police Officers involved in the incident are Peter Dolci and Duane Smith.

Officer Dolci has been with the Palm Bay Police Department since August of 2016 and Officer Smith since June of 2015.

Prior to joining the Palm Bay Police Department, both officers served in The United States Marine Corps.
