LAKELAND, Fla. — The Detroit Tigers’ Miguel Cabrera paused, searching his memory for his favorite position to play. He ran through the time he had spent during his professional career in right field, left field, shortstop, first base and third base, and said what he liked about each.
But his favorite? Cabrera smiled.
“I think my favorite position is to play baseball,” he said, before widening his smile. “Playing baseball, and hitting.”
