GAINESVILLE, Fla. — After a steady march through the Southeastern Conference, No. 1 Kentucky is poised for March and the N.C.A.A. tournament.
But first things first.
There is still the SEC tournament to play, beginning Thursday, which looks like a mere formality. To some, the only things standing in the way of Kentucky’s lifting its eighth national championship trophy are the four weeks until the April 2 title game.
