BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – What was once just a dream has become real. Disney Cruise Line’s Fantasy, the fourth and newest luxury cruise ship in the Disney fleet, arrived in Port Canaveral this morning to prepare for voyages to the Caribbean.
The Fantasy weighs in at a whopping 130,000 tons and can accommodate more than 4,000 passengers.
The first cruise for the Fantasy will leave Port Canaveral on March 31. The ship will alternate with the Disney Dream on destinations of the eastern and western Caribbean. And each sailing will feature a stop at Disney’s private Castaway Cay island resort.
Guests for the first Fantasy cruise will be able to attend their choice of Broadway style entertainment including “Wishes,” a 45-minute show about three best friends who learn the importance of staying connected to their inner child and “Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular.”
The Fantasy is filled with splendor from top to bottom with 1,250 posh staterooms and passenger suites, sophisticated nightclubs, boutiques and fine dining.
There are water coasters and water play areas for the young and young-at-heart or frolic in the towering Satellite Falls circular splash pool.
Seven-night trips to St. Maarten and St. Thomas or Grand Cayman Island, Costa Maya and Cozumel are available.
