Melbourne PD Investigating Murder On Colbert Circle

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE COUNTY FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department is investigating a murder after a shooting early this morning.
According to Melbourne PD Sgt. Trevor Shaffer, cops were called by area residents around 5 a.m. with news that they heard gunfire coming from a house on Colbert Circle, near Stone Middle School and north of University Boulevard in South Melbourne.
When the Melbourne PD arrived on scene, they said they found Henry Lee Montgomery, 48, dead at a residence in the 2800 block of Colbert Circle according to Sgt. Trevor Shaffer, spokesman for Melbourne Police Department.
CSI technicians have been inside the house since this morning and detectives are canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses.
