Space Coast Symphony To Feature Rodgers & Hammerstein Favorites

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA VILLAGE  – The Space Coast Symphony presents “Rodgers & Hammerstein at the Movies” on Saturday, April 28th at 7:00 p.m. at the Scott Center for the Performing Arts at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy.

The SCSO toasts Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, the incomparable songwriting duo of Broadway and Hollywood in a concert  of favorite movie memories.

Straight from the vaults of the legendary Metro-Goldwyn Mayer, RKO, Warner, Turner Classic Movies, Universal and Paramount Studios, “Rodgers & Hammerstein at the Movies” features dazzling new 35mm prints of beloved film scenes, accompanied by the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra.

Artistic Director, Aaron T. Collins knows this concert will be a real crowd-pleaser.

“Everyone has a favorite Rodgers and Hammerstein musical,” said Collins.

“Pairing their incredible music with clips from the films is going to make this a memorable concert.”

Space Coast Symphony Orchestra Summer Series

The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra Summer Series will include four concerts: “Music of the Twenties, Thirties & Forties;” “An All-American Salute” (free admission); “Rachmaninoff’s Second Symphony;” and “Call of the Champions: Music of the Olympics.”
