BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Duran Golf Club is hosting a fun charity tournament on September 16, 2012 – in partnership with Melbourne’s popular eating and drinking venue Meg O’Malleys.

Billed as Meg O’Malley’s Irish Open, the charity tournament will raise much-needed money for research into Mitochondrial Disease, an illness that primarily affects children.
As the video above shows so poignantly, diseases of the mitochondria appear to cause the most damage to cells of the brain, heart, liver, kidney, skeletal muscles and the endocrine and respiratory systems.
Save The Date
The Duran charity golf event on September 16, 2012 starts with breakfast from 7 a.m. and then it’s a shotgun start at 8.30 a.m.
“Space Coast Golf Magazine always likes to keep its readers informed of upcoming events. September 16 at Duran is a date not to miss,” says editor Bobby Walker.

“In case you are not Irish and this date has no significance, Sept. 16 is exactly one half on the way to St. Patrick’s Day,” says Walker, who adds he’ll have more details in the July/August edition of Space Coast Golf magazine that’s now teamed up with and is carried in the regular editions of Space Coast Sports magazine.
