Stan W. Koller

BREVARD COUNTY • INDIALANTIC, FLORIDA — Stan W. Koller, 83, of Indialantic, died peacefully in his home on May 21, 2012.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of nearly 57 years, Paulette Koller.

Born in Pensacola, Florida, to Harry and Mary Koller, Stan grew up in south Florida and, while serving in the Navy Reserve, met and married Paulette Hasselbrink.

They moved to Brevard County in 1956 and raised three children, sons, Harry and Michael Koller, and daughter, Kathleen Koller. In addition to them, Stan is survived by four grandchildren and his brother, C.E. ‘Jake’ Koller (and wife, Dorothy Ann).

Stan soon became involved in many aspects of building the Brevard County community, such as his service as Melbourne City Commissioner in 1963, his membership on the county’s Zoning Board and on the Florida Flood Control District, and as president of Melbourne Kiwanis.

He started his own commercial real estate company, St. John’s Realty, where he enjoyed many years of success and provided well for his family.

Stan is also a past vestry member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.

Both Stan and Paulette enjoyed an active social life and developed strong bonds with many wonderful friends. He had a great sense of humor, whether he was on the golf course or at the bridge table, and he will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

A memorial service will be held at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Thursday, June 7th at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the Holy Trinity Memorial Fund, 50 W. Strawbridge Ave., Melbourne, Florida 32901.
