The Palm Bay Aquatic Center is hosting its annual Water Aerobics potluck from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Anyone interested in finding out more about water aerobics is invited to come meet those already attending classes at the center.

There will be water games and activities for a fun-filled evening of aerobic exercise and socializing.

Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. The fee is $3 per class and passes are available.

Tuesday classes are held in deep water allowing for a non-impact class. Participants have the option of using a flotation belt, but should be comfortable in the water.

Thursday classes are held in shallow water. This is a basic water aerobics class geared toward all age groups and fitness levels.

Benefits of water aerobics include cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, muscle toning and improved balance.

Participants do not need to have any swimming experience.

The Palm Bay Aquatic Center is at 420 Community College Parkway, just south of the Brevard Community College Campus.

This activity is sponsored by the Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department.
