Armed Robber Tries To Hold Up Publix Pharmacy

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT ST. JOHN, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff’s Office investigators are searching for a robber that attempted to hold up the Publix Pharmacy in Port St. John on Wednesday afternoon .

Brevard County Sheriff’s Sgt. JoAnna Seigel said that about 3:48 p.m. Wednesday a suspect walked into the Publix at 7325 North U.S. Highway 1 in Port St. John.

Seigel said the suspect walked to pharmacy counter and presented a handwritten note indicating he had a gun and demanded prescription medication.

He lifted his shirt exposing a small handgun.

When the pharmacy technician explained that he did not have a key to access the prescription medication, the suspect turned and then fled the store without incident or injury to any persons.

He is described as a white male, 5-foot-9 with a medium build, brown hair and brown eyes.

The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a blue sweat shirt, a light blue baseball hat and tan work boots.

It is not known if he fled the area on foot or in a vehicle.
