Cerullo To Lead Wuesthoff Medical Center – Rockledge

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – Tim Cerullo has been named Chief Executive Officer of Wuesthoff Medical Center in Rockledge.

Wuesthoff Health System CEO Steve Patonai said Cerullo has started his new duties and will be responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of all activities, staff development and physician relations at the 298-bed Wuesthoff Medical Center – Rockledge.
“I am excited to be joining the Wuesthoff family,” Cerullo said. “I have been impressed with what I have seen in my visits so far and I look forward to helping our associates and physicians provide exceptional health care to our community.”
An accountant who worked his way into hospital finance and operations, Cerullo has held various leadership positions in Florida hospitals for the past 15 years.
He comes to Brevard County from West Palm Beach where he was the Chief Operations Officer of 460-bed JFK Medical Center.
“Tim’s experience with day-to-day operations of a large hospital and his attention to details will greatly aid him in this role,” said Patonai, who has led the Rockledge hospital since Wuesthoff was acquired by Health Management Associates in October 2010.
The regional integrated health care system includes the 298-bed Rockledge hospital, 119-bed Wuesthoff Medical Center – Melbourne; more than 100 employed providers at multiple physician clinics; Wuesthoff Progressive Care Center, a 114-bed skilled nursing facility; The Towne Square, a 98-unit assisted living facility; and other health-related services such as home care, inpatient and outpatient hospice, Wal-Mart retail clinics, diagnostic centers, home medical equipment stores and a statewide reference laboratory.
