BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – As part of the festivities marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, skies above Port Canaveral will be aglow with color and sound on Friday, July 3, for a fireworks celebration hosted by the Cove Merchants Association at Port Canaveral.

Public viewing of the July 3rd “Smoke on the Water & Fire in the Sky” festivities will be available from The Cove District at Port Canaveral, with free parking in the Cove parking lot for patrons of The Cove restaurants until capacity is reached.

Please note that there are NO public viewing locations on the north side of Port Canaveral (“A” Cruise Terminals and North Cargo Operations) or on any portion of State Road 401. The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office will be monitoring and enforcing the area.

To promote safe arrival at the Port before the event and exiting the Port once the fireworks display concludes, a comprehensive special event parking and traffic flow plan has been developed jointly by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Canaveral Fire Rescue, and Canaveral Port Authority Public Safety.

The plan includes road closures within The Cove Restaurant District and utilizes one-way directional exiting of Port roads following the event.

Visitors planning to attend the fireworks celebration should carefully review the parking lot locations and traffic flow maps before arriving at the Port and plan accordingly.

Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies, parking attendants, and staff will be located at key traffic intersections around the Port to assist motorists.
