Comfortable With Decision

A 6-foot-3 tackle/lineman weighing 295 pounds, Valentine had originally given a verbal commitment to Louisville, then backed away from that school earlier this summer.

Highly coveted for his defensive skills, Valentine had been leaning toward choosing Florida State, but changed his mind once again and says his decision is final.

After fielding scholarship offers from a host of schools — including FSU, Auburn and Miami — Valentine announced Sunday that he will enroll at the University of Florida following his senior season.

At Florida he will play for Coach Will Muschamp.

Before all that happens, however, Valentine still has two season to play high school football for the Bayside Bears under Coach Derek Smith.
