Nelson Hosting Open House Meeting In Cocoa

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Brevard County Commissioner Chuck Nelson, who represents District 2, is hosting a monthly open house in Cocoa to encourage residents to speak with him about community issues.

This month the open house will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  July 13 at the Central Brevard Library and Reference Center at 308 Forrest Avenue in Cocoa.

District 2 includes Cocoa, Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, Port Canaveral, Cape Canaveral, Avon by the Sea, Cocoa Beach, Snug Harbor and Patrick Air Force Base.

He is serving his second term on the county commission after spending 14 years as Director of the Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department.

Nelson has more than 32 years of experience in public service and is an avid boater and fishing enthusiast.

Married and the father of one, Nelson resides on Merritt Island and earned a degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from the University of South Florida.
