“We continue to see a good influx of companies both new and existing from our city as well as throughout the county,” said Victoria Northrup, president and CEO.

“There are no set boundaries for joining a particular chamber. If a company wishes to do business with Palm Bay merchants or are seeking customers, they are encouraged to join our chamber.”

Businesses of the Month

The chamber announced that their April Businesses of the Month was Aero Decals, in May the winner was Brevard Workforce, and in June, Melbourne Greyhound Park/Club 52 was selected.

Each business was presented with a custom certificate. Members of the chamber make the nominations to receive the Business of the Month, and the board of directors selects the final winner.

The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce, formed in 1989, has more than 900 active and prospective members and is accredited by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce with a four-star ranking, a distinguished honor bestowed to select Chambers.

The Greater Palm Bay Chamber is also the only chamber in the U.S. aligned with an international “sister” chamber in Cashel, Ireland.

The chamber holds their monthly networking luncheon on the first Wednesday of each month at the Life Care Center of Palm Bay at 175 Villa Nueva Ave., NE, off Malabar Road, just west of Palm Bay Hospital. The July luncheon is scheduled for July 11 due to the Fourth of July holiday. Cost is $20 for members and $25 for non-members or at the door.

The 2012 Palm Bay Chamber Trustees include Health First, Waste Management, City of Palm Bay, Florida Power and Light Company, Intersil, Comfort Suites, WMS Construction and Global Building Services.
