THE OLYMPIC GAMES • LONDON, ENGLAND – Back at the Olympic Swimming venue this evening for more exciting competition.
Security was very tight today and this was an all-ticket event day where even the members of the press had to have tickets along with their press credentials to enter the arena.

It was to be a stunning day of surprises from the French.
The crowds outside the arena were also very large again, and the craziest outfit of the day went to a very large man that I met from the Gold Coast of Australia. He wore a wallaby beanie on top of a bright yellow afro and a bright red apron.
I met two young boys dressed in British flags and their parents from Preston in the north of England.
“We are here to see Michael Phelps win another gold,” said young Daniel Holmes and his brother who are members of the Preston Swim Club.
In the Womens 400 Meters Freestyle it was to be Gold for Muffat from France, Silver for Allison Schmidt from TEAM USA and Bronze for the British hero Rebecca Adlington.
Adlington had won Bronze much to the joyous cheers of the British fans. USA’s Allison Schmidt almost took the Gold but the French Muffat held on for first place.
