• PALM BAY 21, ROCKLEDGE 10 (FINAL)

Brian Fallace hits Caleb Alves with a TD pass to cap off an 80-yard Pirates drive. 6-0 Palm Bay.

Raiders come back with 33 yard FG by Payne Austin to open second quarter. 6-3 Palm Bay still leads.

Austin misses two field goals in second half as Pirates turn in solid defensive performance.

QB Adler leads Raiders on solid drive capped off by Justin Weaver TD run of 15 yards. PAT good. 10-6 Rock.

Derylton Hill TD pass reception. Pirates coach Dan Burke has Leroy Berry run for two-point conversion. Pirates now lead 14-10.

Pirates recover fumble and then march down the field on a series of sweeps by Leroy Berry. He scores on a  32 yard run and Pirates lead 21-10.

• COCOA BEACH 27, MCC 7 (FINAL)

Cocoa Beach’s Antoine Griffin scores on 19-yard TD pass from Favid Dessent. Run fails. 6-0 Minutemen

Brandon Ziarno cleared to return to action for MCC and lead  Hustlers on sevearl long drives in second quarter.

Ziarno leads MCC to score in fourth quarter on a fumble into end zone.

Dessent runs for TD, Minutemen ahead 20-7.

Cocoa Beach takes int turnover and races 96 yards for TD and Hustlers were moving in for game-tying score. 27-7 Beach.

• HOLY TRINITY 33, FATHER LOPEZ 18 (FINAL)

Tigers dominate in rushing the ball in first quarter, capped off by a 2-yard TD run by Johnny Gomez. Holy Trinity leads 6-0.

Josh Harden runs wild for Tigers in second quarter. Two long 30-plus gains and then he scores on a 3-yard TD scamper. 13-0 Tigers with about six minutes left in 1st half.

Marques Burgman snares 45-yard pass for Holy Trinity. It sets up 3-yard TD run by Nick Hamer before halftime. 20-0 Tigers at intermission.

Hamer runs fro a 60-yard TD for Holy Trinity, now leading 27-0 with 5 minutes left in third quarter.

Marques Burgman thrills crowd with marvelous 102-yard interception return for a TD. Tigers lead 33-0.

QB Joe Boden of Father Lopez scores one rushing TD and passes for two TDs in fourth quarter, but Tigers win 33-18.

“I feel good. I love to see my team come out and fight,” said Josh Harden of the Tigers. “It was rough week with the weather at practice so it feels good to get a win.”

• MERRITT ISLAND 41, CENTENNIAL 3 (FINAL)

Nic Smith throws 20-yard touchdown for Mustangs to Mike Owens. 7-0 Merritt Island.

Josh Studstill punches in another Merritt Island TD from 4-yard line but kick is wide. 13-0 MI in second quarter.

Midway through 3rd quarter Centennial kicker boost a field goal. 13-3 Mustangs ahead.

Smith hits Owens once again for TD, Mustangs ahead 20-3.

Johnny Batch interception return TD for Merritt Island.

• NEW SMYRNA BEACH 15, ASTRONAUT 12 (FINAL) 

Back and forth game, 3-and-out defensive battle.

Barracuda run for TD early in second quarter and lead the War Eagles 7-0.

War Eagles intercept pass and run it in for first official points of 2012 season, kick blocked 7-6 NSB.

Astronaut gets tough yards on ground and finally scores on 3-yard TD. 12-7 War Eagles.

Barracudas play smashmouth ball and run over Astronaut for 20 yard TD, then tack on 2-point conversion. NSB 15-12.

• TITUSVILLE 42, PINE RIDGE 0 (FINAL)

 

Running back Darius Young scores first TD of regular season for Terriers on a 5-yard run. Xtra point good. Tsvl up 7-0.

Terriers extend lead to 14-0 as QB Josh Wayner dives across goal line for a 2-yard TD early in the second quarter. 14-0 Terriers.

Alex Martinez 1-yard TD run late in second quarter. PAT good, 21-0 Terriers.

Wayner throws two TDs in six-minute span to close half for Terriers who are up 35-0

Another TD pass by Josh Wayner, Terriers cruising 42-0.

• HERITAGE 45, SPACE COAST 0 (FINAL)

 

Panthers back Josh Gaines breaks free and dashes 39 yards for Heritage TD. Panthers up at end of first quarter  7-0.

Gaines scores again in second quarter for Panthers.

Ground game punishing Vipers with another TD.

Moxam runs for Heritage TD, half ends with Panthers routing Space Coast.

Panthers boot FG, now up 31-0.

•  EAU GALLIE 21, VIERA 13 (FINAL)

 

Both teams struggling to mount consistent offense in first quarter.

Eau Gallie threatening to score. Justin Benton takes handoff from Commodores QB Antoine Rutledge and runs 68 yards.

Four plays later, Commodores miss field goal attempt. Still 0-0 tie.

Commodores score before half. Cody Dentmon now at QB for Hawks. 7-0 EG at halftime.

Commodores offense starts to click in Q3. Torrance Brown hits Daniel Kroupa for 45-yard pass, then agains for a TD. 14-0 Eau Gallie.

Jordan Benton 25-yard run and TD for Commodores. EG 21-0.

Dentmon runs six-yard TD for Hawks.

Cody Dentmon’s got another TD for Viera, Eau gallie clings to 21-13 lead in fourth quarter.

Dentmon has 45-yard TD run called back with 5 minutes left. Still 21-13 Commodores.

“It was a physical game and the kids played great, but we have to get better,” said Eau Gallie coach Tim Powers. “The game changing monent came at the start of the second half as we came out with some fire.”

• BOLLES 21, BAYSIDE 14 (FINAL)

Lucious McKay runs for TD for Bayside. 7-0 Bears early in first quarter.

Ontarius Mitchell runs in TD for Bolles. 7-7 early in second quarter.

Cody Boswell of Bolles runs in TD just before halftime. Kick fails. 13-7 Bolles lead at half.

Roger Bush carries two yards for Bears TD, score even at 14-14.

Bolles converts 3rd down and then rambles in for TD, PAT good. 21-14 Bolles.

• MELBOURNE 14, SATELLITE 13 (FINAL OT)

Bulldogs QB Sterling Munich has thrown a TD pass and kicker Pat Brush kicked the PAT.

If you like defensive battles, this game is providing plenty. 7-0 Melbourne

Cody Schnell 24-yard TD run. Game tied late 7-7.

Carson Jackson scores for winning TD for Bulldogs in OT.

• PHILADELPHIA ST. JOSEPH’S PREP 16, COCOA 7  (FINAL)

Hawks drive of 62 yards culminates with touchdown.

Penalties and missed opportunities plague Tigers throughout first half. Tarean Folston has been able to move the ball on the ground for Cocoa, but Tigers inconsistent in converting third down chances.

Long Hawks drive to open third quarter results in TD, but extra point fail, Score is 13-0 St. Joseph’s.

Cocoa threatening as Jalen Knowles converts a long third-down pass in hawks territory.

Jalen Knowles runs 1-yard on QB sneak for Cocoa. 13-7 in fourth quarter, St. Joseph’s still on top.

Another long drive by St. Joseph’s stalls, but 16-yard field goal is good. 16-7 with clock running and Hawks up.
