Fitness Class Available For Home-School Students

BREVARD COUNTY • MEBOURNE BEACH, FLORIDA – Finding activities for home-schooled children outside of the house can sometimes be a daunting proposition.

To the rescue rides the Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department, which is offering a Fit Kids physical education program for home-schooled children in kindergarten through Grade 6 at the South Beach Community Center.

Classes are held from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays and will focus on teaching cooperation and teamwork and keeping children active.

The cost is $4 per child per class or $20 per child for six classes.

All programs are supervised by Brevard County Parks and Recreation staff at the South Beach Community Center, 500 Old Florida Trail in Melbourne Beach.
