Helps Offset Her Medical Costs

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Extreme Allstars will host a special event fundraiser for Kim Gabriel at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the heart transplant fund dedicated to supporting her transplant and post-transplant care.

In 2011, Gabriel underwent open-heart surgery and suffered post-surgery complications causing her diagnosis of cardiomyopathy or stage-3 heart failure and she was added to the transplant waiting list in April.

Before the initial surgery, Gabriel was an active community volunteer and worked with Habitat for Humanity, her church and spent endless hour volunteering for Extreme Allstars.

The average heart transplant cost nearly $1 million and that is only the beginning. Post surgery transplant patients require extensive follow up care and daily anti-rejection medication.

“Kim is an amazing person and we want to do everything we can to help her,” said Mandy Field, Extreme Allstars owner. “We encourage everyone to come out and get in shape and help us raise money to assist Kim during this extremely difficult time in her life.”
