STOCKPORT • CHESHIRE, ENGLAND — An unwashed and soiled pair of underpants worn by Elvis Presley, 35 years ago are expected to fetch at least $12,500 when they go on auction next month.

The light blue briefs, soiled with stains, were worn by Presley under the King’s white jumpsuit in a famous performance in 1977, which was the year that he passed away.
The underwear garment, which was obtained from the estate of his late father Vernon Presley, is due to go under the auctioneers’s hammer in Stockport, Cheshire, England in September 2012.
Bidding interest is expected to be very high in an auction taking place 35 years after the world famous singer’s death.”
His annotated Holy Bible, which Elvis had since his first Christmas in Graceland in 1957, is expected to raise more than £25,000.
Many of the bible’s passages are underlined, including the line: “What is a man advantaged if he gain the whole world and lose himself or be cast away.”
Home film movies taken by his wife Priscilla are also up for auction, including their wedding and from when the first time their daughter Lisa arrived in Graceland.
