Hillsborough Knocks Off Titans

Record For BCC Now 2-9

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Brevard Community College women’s basketball team dropped its third game in three days and its sixth in a row on Saturday but did not go quietly, falling 71-59 to Hillsborough Community College.

BCC fell to 2-9 with the loss on the final day of a tournament at Daytona State College.

With the win, Hillsborough improved to 6-4.

Sophomore co-captain Shaneece Stephens led BCC with 29 points and four steals. Fellow co-captain and classmate Kasie Berry had seven points and six rebounds.

Next up for BCC is the two-day Lady Titans Classic at the Melbourne Campus gym.

BCC plays Shelton State of Alabama at 8 p.m. Friday and ASA College of New York at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Admission for the tournament featuring three games on Friday and three more on Saturday is $5 for adults and $3 for children 17 and under.
