Titans Earn Split In Softball Doubleheader

BCC Now 11-16 Overall On Year

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard Community College softball team split a doubleheader with host Florida State College Jacksonville on Sunday, losing the first game, 6-4, but winning the second, 10-2.

BCC is now 11-16 on the season. FSCJ, ranked seventh in the Florida College System Activities Association State Coaches Poll, is 15-11.

Shannen Marchu took the loss for BCC in the first game while Brooke Formby got the win in the nightcap.

“She gave us everything we asked for,” BCC assistant coach Bob Yanczewski said of Formby. “The split was big for us.”

BCC next plays at 4 and 6 p.m. Wednesday, hosting St. Johns River State College on its Palm Bay Campus field.
