Titans Split Softball Doubleheader With Miami Dade

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Brevard Community College softball team opened its Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference schedule on Sunday by splitting a doubleheader with visiting Miami Dade College.

BCC won the first game 11-7 behind winning pitcher Shannen Marchu.

Miami Dade won the second game 5-3 as BCC’s Brooke Formby took the loss. The Titans are 1-1 in the conference and 18-19 overall while Miami Dade is 2-2 and 16-10.

Next up for BCC is a non-conference doubleheader against County College of Morris Heartland at 5 and 7 p.m. Monday on the Palm Bay Campus.

Lake-Sumter State College visits for a non-conference doubleheader at 4 and 6 p.m. Thursday.  BCC’s next conference home date is March 20 against Indian River State College at 4 and 6 p.m.
