‘Blast Off’ Model Rocket Program Nears In Port St. John

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT ST. JOHN, FLORIDA – A “Blast Off” Rocket Program is coming soon to Port St. John.

The program is for participants ages six to adult will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at the Port St. John Community Center.

The center is at 6650 Corto Road in Port St. John.

Participants will build and launch a Level 1 model rocket with parachute recovery system.

Any child under the age of eight will be required to have an adult present to assist them with construction of the rocket.

The fee to participate is $12 per rocket and all rockets will be launched during the afternoon on the day they are constructed.

This activity is sponsored by Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department’s North Area Parks Operations.
