Fashion Week Calls For Male, Female Models Now

SHOWCASING BREVARD'S FASHION INDUSTRY
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Male and female models interested in “Strutting the Catwalk” for Space Coast Fashion Week April 27 – May 4 should apply now.
Space Coast Fashion Week, presented by the Melbourne Regional Chamber, is set to host an open casting call on Wednesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 11 from 4 p.m.– 7 p.m. at Melbourne Square Mall.
Applicants chosen for the runway will have the opportunity to showcase their talents and abilities for model scouts, members of the media and other influential industry professionals.
In its first year, Space Coast Fashion Week will display the fashion and style of emerging and established designers for entertainment and commercial purposes.
There are two fashion shows: Wednesday, May 1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 4 from approximately 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Models can be considered for more than one show. Since Fashion Week has many other activities, there may also be a need for models for other shows.
Models should report to the Melbourne Square Mall on either day and auditions will be done in the order of arrival and sign-in. For further information, contact Naomi Penney at the Melbourne Regional Chamber, by email at Naomi@MelbourneRegionalChamber.com.
Models must be between the ages of 18 – 35 (Experience is preferred). Females must be at least 5’7” or taller and be size 2 or 4. Males must be at least 5’10” to qualify. (No children please)
WHAT TO WEAR
• Women should wear form-fitted clothing, little to no makeup, with hair pulled back and you MUST have heels to walk in. Dress is casual.
• Men should wear fitted pants and a fitted shirt, with hair brushed away from the face-casual dress.
• Applicants will have a head shot photo taken during the castings.
• Time commitment requirements:
• Punctuality and professional demeanor will be required at all times. You will be required to attend the designer fittings. If you are cast in more than one show, you will be required to attend fittings for each designer. All fitting dates and time are at each designer’s sole discretion. Each model is required to attend mandatory dress rehearsal.
Models not in attendance at mandatory rehearsals will immediately be disqualified from participating in Space Coast Fashion Week. You will be required to be on location as early as 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1 and 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4.
All models selected to participate in Space Coast Fashion Week will receive:
• Recognition on the Space Coast Fashion Week Website with photo and link if desired.
• Opportunity to network and showcase your talents.
• This year SCFW events will help benefit the Chamber’s Women of Excellence “Back to School” program with the Children’s Home Society of Melbourne, the Salvation Army and the Melbourne Police Athletic League.

The Melbourne Regional Chamber of East Central Florida is presenting the week-long series of events April 27 through May 4 to showcase the local fashion industry – including retailers, designers, photographers, models and makeup artists.
Textures Etc. is brought to you by the Melbourne Regional Chamber of East Central Florida, and admission to each ticketed event is sold separately, as well as a combination pass for the entire week’s festivities.
