Nelson Hosts Open House In Cocoa Beach

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Brevard County Commissioner Chuck Nelson is gearing up for a monthly open house meeting Friday, April 26 in Cocoa Beach that encourages local residents to discuss issues facing the community with him.

Nelson represents District 2 of the Brevard County Commission, which includes Cocoa, Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, Port Canaveral, Cape Canaveral, Avon by the Sea, Cocoa Beach, Snug Harbor and Patrick Air Force Base.

He is serving his second term on the county commission after spending 14 years as Director of the Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department.

Nelson has more than 32 years of experience in public service and is an avid boater and fishing enthusiast.

Married and the father of one, Nelson resides on Merritt Island and earned a degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from the University of South Florida.

His open house meeting will be conducted from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, April 26 at the  Cocoa Beach Library, 550 North Brevard Avenue in Cocoa Beach.
