Seminar Addresses Personalized Cancer Medicine

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Dr. Lincoln Stein, the director of The Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, will lead a seminar at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne on Thursday.

Stein will offer “Towards Personalized Cancer Medicine” from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in the Olin Life Sciences Building Room 130 on the campus of Florida Tech.

Presented by the Institute for Biotechnology and Biomedical Science, the seminar is free and open to the public.

A reception will follow in Olin Life Sciences Room 201.

Stein previously served as professor at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and was the director of informatics at the MIT Genome Center, Whitehead Institute of Biomedical Research.

He completed his M.D. and Ph.D. at Harvard University and was the 2004 recipient of the Benjamin Franklin Award in Bioinformatics.

The seminar is sponsored by United Therapeutics and hosted by Dr. Tristan J. Fiedler.
