BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball player Sean Register Jr. is named an NJCAA Division I First Team All-America selection.
The forward from Cleveland, Ohio, became the fifth Titan to be named to the NJCAA Division I First Team All-America team and the 16th men’s basketball player to be an All-America selection.
“It is a blessing for sure,” forward Sean Register Jr. said.
“To be honest, it is just the hard work that my teammates and I put in this year. Every time I was having a hard time in practice or in the training sessions, I would just think – I want to be on the first team and my teammates really helped me every day and night.”
Register Jr. leaves Eastern Florida State College as the leading single-season scorer in the program’s history with 769 points, marking just the second time a men’s basketball player has scored 700 points in a season.
Register Jr. led the FCSAA this season, averaging 24.8 points per game, and was named the Citrus Conference Player of the Year as well as to the all-FCSAA team.
The forward also grabbed 269 rebounds in 31 games, averaging 8.7 per game. He had 12 double-doubles this season.
“It is really all of us, the team and the coaching staff working out with me, but to see those numbers is crazy and is just a blessing,” Register Jr. said.
“I had a list of goals this season, and I literally checked off most of the boxes. I have been blessed to be here and put on the Eastern Florida jersey every day.”
