The award, presented Thursday, May 16, is given to Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature at the district level. Anderson has served as the Chairman of the Riverside District for the last two years.

“This award is very special to me,” Anderson said. “I have enjoyed a lifetime of scouting and now have had the honor of serving this District and helping numerous young men learn the same important life skills that I did.”

Stephanie Regalia, Riverside District Executive, said Anderson was recognized by his fellow scouters for leading a team of volunteers who have increased membership and local visibility, funded innumerable programs, and established community ties that will ensure the longevity of the program for years to come.
