Distracted Driver Killed on Babcock Street

Michael Hill of palm bay killed

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — According to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol, Michael Hill, 56 of Palm Bay, was killed in an accident while traveling north on  Babcock St.

Michael Hill was distracted by his passenger, Erin Hill, 48, Palm Bay, when he traveled northeast off the roadway onto the grassy shoulder, then attempted to re-enter the roadway and over corrected.

The car crossed north and southbound lanes leaving the roadway onto the west shoulder, landed in a ditch and overturned onto it’s roof. Upon Florida Highway Patrol’s arrival, the car was at final rest facing south on it’s roof. Erin Hill is in serious condition at Holmes Regional Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
