BREVARD SHERIFF WAYNE IVEY: While all of our Animal Services Team Members work hard every single day to protect our pets, I wanted to take a moment and recognize our Animal Enforcement Officers as we, as a community, celebrate “Animal Enforcement Officers’ Appreciation Week!”
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – As everyone knows, I am a huge animal lover, and I am additionally impressed by how hard our team works to help protect animals in our community.
While all of our Animal Services Team Members work hard every single day to protect our pets, I wanted to take a moment and recognize our Animal Enforcement Officers as we, as a community, celebrate “Animal Enforcement Officers’ Appreciation Week!”
I could not be prouder of this dedicated team who work tirelessly across the county to help rescue and hopefully, reunite lost pets with their owners.
There is no doubt that they are sometimes put in challenging conditions, but their love for animals is what keeps them going, and returning a pet to its owner or rescuing a pet in distress is what drives them.
Our AEO’s not only work to rescue pets that’s have been lost, but often times are the first line of defense for voiceless pets as they work animal cruelty and neglect cases.
As I always say,” not all victims can dial 911,” and when they need help, our Animal Enforcement Officers and Animal Cruelty Agents are there.
Their dedication to the job does not go unnoticed, and I ask everyone to join me today in thanking them for their passion and commitment to the animals of Brevard County.
