Florida Among Top States for Potential Drone Construction

ABOVE VIDEO: NASA’s drones are used to monitor hurricane movements. Drones are utilized for various surveillance, military and meteorological purposes. Brevard County has been identified among the leading areas for potential drone building manufacturing and testing centers.
Florida Drone Facts:
• State Representative Ritch Workman’s co-sponsored Bill, the “Freedom from Unwarranted Surveillance Act” banned Florida’s state and local police forces from using drones.
• Northrop Grumman manufactures the X-47B drone & employs nearly 2,000 aerospace industry-related workers in Brevard County.
• The Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International included Florida among Fortune Magazine’s nine states poised to dominate the drone economy and reap the benefits of the boom in unmanned aircraft.
