Laurie Vaughn Killed Assisting Crash Victim On I-95

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA — Laurie Vaughn, 41, of Titusville, Florida, was killed today according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at 10:30 a.m. on I-95 at mile marker 210 near Titusville.
According to Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson Sgt. Kim Montes, Vaughn had stopped her car and was out of her vehicle, checking on the occupants of a white 1998 Oldsmobile that had just crashed into the guardrail in the northbound lanes of I-95 at mile marker 210.
Vaughn was struck by a 2008 Nissan, driven by Michael Tutulo, 80, of Titusville. Tutulo’s vehicle had traveled onto the shoulder, having been involved in a side-by-side collision with a 2008 Ford driven by Darrelle Barrett Sr., 65 of Titusville.
Vaughn was pronounced dead at the scene and the crash remains under investigation.
