BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA – A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for Mims water customers.

Due to a water main break experienced overnight during a construction project, a loss of water pressure has been experienced in the Mims drinking water system.

The Brevard County Utility Services Department is advising that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dished be boiled. A rolling boil for one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water is also recommended.

The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
