Tuesday, September 1, 2026, 10 a.m. EST, there will be an online Live Real Life Symposium to bring awareness to and address the effects of excessive screen use and certain online experiences on children and adolescents. BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Tuesday, September 1, 2026, 10 a.m. EST, there will be an online Live Real Life Symposium to bring awareness to and address the effects of excessive screen use and certain online experiences on children and adolescents. The symposium is designed to build on the priorities outlined in the Office of the Surgeon Generalʼs recently published Advisory.
The symposium is convened by the Office of the Surgeon General at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It will bring together experts and leaders to identify practical solutions. Confirmed event headliners include Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, OSG Director of National Communications Dr. Stephanie Haridopolos, and ACF Assistant Secretary Alex Adams.
