60 FIREFIGHTERS BATTLE 3-ALARM BLAZE

More than 60 firefighters fought flames over 20 feet high as and thick smoke confronted the firefighters for over two hours. (BCFR image)

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Firefighters fought a three-alarm fire this morning which broke out around 2 a.m. at the Space Coast Flea Market in Port St. John, and according to Brevard County Fire Rescue, is now under control.

FIRELOGO-200The Space Coast Flea Market, a landmark in Brevard for 30 years, is located at 5605 North Cocoa Boulevard (US 1).

More than 60 firefighters fought flames over 20 feet high as thick smoke confronted the firefighters for more than three hours.

No injuries have been reported, and according to Brevard County Fire Rescue, there is no word yet if anyone was in the building at the time of the blaze.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is on scene investigating the fire to determine how it started.
