West Melbourne Police Department is asking the public to report suspicious activity on New Haven Ave and Wickham Road.

BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – West Melbourne Police Department is asking the public to report suspicicious activity along the Wickham Road and West New Haven Ave corridors. 

According to a release from the West Melbourne Police Department, numerous reports have been received about broken storefront windows along the Wickham Road and West New Haven Ave corridors.

An excerpt from the release reads:

“The unknown suspects are propelling silver ball bearings into the businesses, causing the glass to break. These incidents go beyond property damage. When the suspect(s) is located, they will be charged with shooting a deadly missile into a building, a second degree felony in addition to criminal mischief. …We are also asking any neighboring businesses where this activity has taken place to review any video surveillance footage and report their findings to the police. We are taking these cases seriously before someone gets hurt.

Anyone with information in these cases is asked to contact Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS. Tipsters will remain anonymous and if their information leads to a felony arrest, they may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00.
