In the last 10 years Brevard County recorded more than 47,000 foreclosures. Although the last two years saw declines in the number of foreclosures since the record high 9,772 recorded in 2009, the first six months of 2013 shows an increasing trend compared to last year.

2,127 FORECLOSURES HAVE BEEN RECORDED THIS YEAR
During the first six months of this year 2,127 foreclosures have already been recorded. That is an increase from the 1,606 foreclosures recorded during the same time period in 2012.
“If this trend continues Brevard County will be recording its fifth highest foreclosure rate since 2004,” said Pehaim.
“We need to stabilize the market and in order to do that people need to know what options are available. There is help available and this free seminar is a good place to start gathering that information.”
Food and beverages will be available. There will also be a supervised play area for children. Information will also be available in Spanish and Creole.
