BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Dr. Stanley Golovac and Dr. Richard Gayles of Florida Pain has announced the addition of Dr. Ashish Udeshi to the practice.
Florida Pain is a multi-service facility that offers extensive Pain Management consultation and management services for acute and chronic pain, and has offices in Merritt Island and Suntree.
Pain physicians Dr. Golovac and Dr. Gayles have been treating patients with the latest technology and techniques for the last three decades on the Space Coast.
Both facilities are multi-service practices that offer pain management consultation and management services for acute and chronic pain.
“At Florida Pain we believe in using non-surgical alternatives to improve the quality of life,” said Dr. Golovac. “Codependency on medications does not treat long term medical management.”
BORN IN BREVARD COUNTY
For Dr. Udeshi, a lifelong Floridian, this is a homecoming as he was born in Titusville. “I am extremely thrilled to be back in Brevard County and be part of the Florida Pain Family,” said Dr. Udeshi.
He received a Bachelor of Science with Honors distinction at the University of Miami in 2004. Upon graduation, Dr. Udeshi attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, graduating in 2008. He completed residency in Anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
“As a recent University of Miami graduate, Dr. Udeshi brings a fresh and new multicultural aspect to the community – along with new ideas and techniques,” said Dr. Golovac.
EXTENSIVE EDUCATION & TRAINING
Dr. Udeshi completed a fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Interventional Pain Medicine and was chosen as the Chief Fellow. He is also a Voluntary Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
During his extensive education and training, Dr. Udeshi was honored with the Emmanuel Papper Medical Student Award in Anesthesia. He received awards for Outstanding Anesthesia Resident in Pain Medicine, Outstanding Fellow in Pain Medicine, and was a American Pain Society Foundation Scholar recipient.
“Dr. Udeshi is a young, well trained physician and will be a great new member of the Florida Pain team,” said Dr. Gayles.
“Bringing on Dr. Udeshi will expand our services, which will allow more prompt and timely care, and allow us to schedule patients within 48 hours. If you are one of the millions who suffer from pain, you should be aware that there are more treatment options available now than ever before.”
COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH
Pain management now includes x-ray guided epidural injections, facet blocks, radio-frequency ablations, percutaneous disc decompression, spinal cord stimulators, implantable infusion pumps, vertebroplasty, and MILD, or Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression.
“We differ from most pain management facilities in that we take a comprehensive approach to treating painful conditions,” said Dr. Golovac. “Pain management is the involvement of a patient and a physician in determining what may be provoking pain from many causes.”

Dr. Udeshi has devoted his time to various local, state and international organizations.
He has worked with Project Medishare and Doctor’s Goodwill Foundation and has traveled to India, Tibet, Haiti and Nicaragua providing medical care with other community physicians.
