Third Annual Florida TechXpo Set for Oct. 8

Event set for Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA —The Melbourne Regional Chamber of East Central Florida will present the third annual Florida TechXpo Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Hosted by Florida Institute of Technology, the TechXpo will be held in the university’s Clemente Center for Sports and Recreation.

The event is an exposition of the technology and innovations created by 100 national and international technology and manufacturing companies, and support organizations throughout Florida. These firms will display their products and services to other companies looking for resources and suppliers.

HOT INDUSTRIES TO BE SHOWCASED

Florida TechXpo 2013 will showcase “hot” industries. These include: aerospace, composites, consumer products, emerging technologies, homeland security and defense, healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, robotics, simulation, telecommunications and transportation.

The TechXpo Luncheon, sponsored by Berman Hopkins Wright & LaHam, will feature a special panel on “Access to Capital.” Participants can explore financing options with traditional and non-traditional leaders, led by four presenters: Jeffrey T. Rembert, with Robert E. Isola & Associates, commercial real estate financing, Maitland; Kevin Evans, Center State Bank, a commercial lender with branches in 20 Florida counties; Dustin Hodgkins, Commercial Business Finance, Melbourne; and Fred Crispen, Celtic Bank, a nationwide lender and leading provider of SBA and USDA loans.

In addition, breakout sessions will be free to exhibitors, sponsors and attendees.

VIP AWARDS DINNER HOSTED BY EMBRAER

The exposition kickoff will be an exclusive reception and V.I.P. Awards Dinner, hosted by Embraer, the jet aircraft manufacturer with an operation in Melbourne. The banquet will be held at the Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront Oct. 7, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The keynote address will be by Jay Beever, Embraer vice president of interior design. Exhibitors are eligible for awards and recognition by U.S. Congressman Bill Posey who will present Congressional Medals of Merit in several categories.
