UCFKnights.com – Back in Orlando at 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning, a group of dedicated fans camped out and greeted the Knights upon their arrival back to campus after UCF pulled out a 34-31 victory at Penn State.
It certainly was the culmination of a memorable weekend in Pennsylvania.
With their first win over a Big Ten team, the Knights stand at 3-0 for the first time since 1988.
They have scored at least 30 points in their first three games, a feat that has never been accomplished to start a season until 2013.
Even though UCF reshuffled its offensive line, it did not yield a sack to Penn State, allowing the offense to do its work to reach that 30-point mark vs. the Nittany Lions.
They have scored at least 30 points in their first three games, a feat that has never been accomplished to start a season until 2013.
Up next will be No. 13/14 South Carolina, which will be the first ranked team since No. 13/12 Houston Nov. 14, 2009, to visit Bright House Networks Stadium.
Similar to the Knights, the Gamecocks have a bye week before their meeting Sept. 28, as it will be one of nine games this year in which an SEC team visits an opponent’s stadium for a non-conference game.
