BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – James Wynn, 22, has been identified as the victim found early this morning found between two homes at Holliser Drive and Sumter Lane, according to the West Melbourne Police Department.

BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The West Melbourne Police Department reports a body found between two homes at Holliser Drive and Sumter Lane.

WESTMELBOURNEBADGE-150At 4 a.m., Sunday, West Melbourne police responded to an anonymous caller reporting that several shots were heard in the area of 1000 block of Hollister Drive, and a voice yelling, “No!”

After  arriving at the scene, police units were advised by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office helicopter that they had a possible victim location. West Melbourne police officers then located a male victim believed to be in his early 20’s behind a residence in the 1000 block of Hollister Drive, who was deceased, according to the West Melbourne Police Department.

IDENTITY NOT BEING RELEASED PENDING NOTIFICATIONS

The victim has been identified by a family member, however, the identity is not being released at this time pending further notifications.

West Melbourne police officers, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office investigators and Crime Scene Units are on scene and treating this incident as a homicide. The preliminary cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner.
