Palm Bay Homeowner Shoots, Kills Home Invaders

UPDATE: The identities of the two victims in Wednesday morning’s homicide are Sean Pino and Dylan Kane.  The male identified as the shooter is Stephen Wright.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA — Detectives with the Palm Bay Police’s Major Case Unit are currently investigating a shooting at a home on the city’s northwest side in which two people were found deceased. 

According to Palm Bay Public Information Officer Yvonne Martinez  police dispatchers received a 911 call from a resident in the 600 block of Thuringer St. NW shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday morning. The caller reported shots were fired inside the home. When patrol officers arrived at the scene they found two adult males deceased inside the residence. The homeowner claims he shot the two men as they were invading his residence.

Crime scene technicians are currently processing the scene for evidence and detectives are conducting interviews with witnesses.  No other information is being released in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.
