Bittar Professor of the Year At FIT College of Business

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Donald Bittar has been honored by the Florida Institute of Technology as Professor of the Year of the university’s College of Business.

Bittar, the chief financial officer of First Choice Healthcare Solutions, Inc., is an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Business at Florida Tech.
“This makes me immensely proud, and I am honored,” said Bittar, who has taught finance, management and information technology classes in undergraduate and graduate schools since 1969.

Bittar, 70, is the CFO and principal accounting officer for First Choice Healthcare Solutions Inc. and First Choice Medical Group, an affiliated company which serves the Brevard County with orthopaedic, neurology, interventional pain medicine and diagnostic services.

MULTI-TALENTED EXECUTIVE
For the past 30 years, Bittar has also helped other companies as an officer, board member and consultant to prepare their annual report to shareholders.

A multi-talented executive, he has created and sold a U.S. patent for an adjustable arm sling and has also authored the book, “Getting Under the Hood of an Annual Report,” which is an easy to use, step-by-step manual for reading and understanding the annual report of a public company. Bittar’s books are published by Trunity and are available online. He has also authored “A Good Business Plan is a Beautiful Thing.”
Bittar has been a frequent speaker at the National Association of Mortgage Bankers, National Council of Savings Institutions, Council of Presidents, New England Bankers Association and the National Corporate Cash Managers Association.He previously served as president and chairman of Associated Mortgage of North America, Inc. and as president of DA Bittar and Associates Inc., a management and technology consulting firm.
Bittar received an MBA from Long Island University in 1964 and is a resident of Melbourne, Florida.
