The roadway, also known as State Road 405, was closed while emergency crews responded to the crash and investigators examined the scene.
The small, single-engine aircraft crashed onto Columbia Boulevard just short of the airport property after reportedly striking a power line. Firefighters extinguished a fire involving the aircraft.
