Panthers head to No. 22 University of Tampa today
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Ashton Fronsoe threw 7.0 innings of three-hit ball en route to a 5-1 victory over Southeastern Florida (6-4) in game one of a doubleheader and Natasa Vukovic earned victories in singles No. 2 and doubles No. 2 (with Kristina Huba) over Flagler College (0-1).
For their efforts, Fronsoe and Vukovic were named this week’s Panther Student-Athletes of the Week, the first time that both receive the honor.
Fronsoe (1-0) struck out four and had command of all of his pitches on Saturday, allowing just three Fire hitters to reach first base.
One unearned run came around to score but it would not be enough for Southeastern as Fronsoe earned his first victory as a Panther.
