Ramos joins 40,000 counselors certified by NBCC
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Kari Ramos, Director of Counseling and Junior High Academics at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, has attained certification as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. (NBCC).

A teacher at Holy Trinity since 2006, Ramos holds a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Florida International University, and a Master in Counseling, with an emphasis in school counseling, from the University of Central Florida.
She originally pursued her master’s degree in education, but was encouraged by her college professors to follow the counseling track as it combined her main interests – working with students and families through difficult times.

“Achieving National Certified Counselor status is an incredibly difficult and rewarding professional accomplishment for Kari Ramos, and a tribute to her skill and growth as a professional”, says Christopher Hayes, Head of School.
“I and the entire Holy Trinity family are proud of her. While we already knew that Mrs. Ramos is wonderful, it’s nice to have independent confirmation. Our students are lucky she’s here.”
National Certification promotes professional accountability and ensures that consumers’ rights are protected through the NBCC Code of ethics.

Requirements for the NCC credential include a graduate degree in counseling, supervised post-master’s counseling experience, an extensive application, and a passing score on the National Counselor Examination for Licensure and Certification (NCE).
