BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Florida Tech’s student-athletes helped prepare lunches in support of The Children’s Hunger Project at the Clemente Center last Saturday.

Members of the Florida Tech football, men’s and women’s golf, women’s rowing, men’s soccer, men’s tennis and volleyball teams participated in the event.
Over 2,000 volunteers produced 25,000 packages of food that will be given to Brevard County elementary school students in need.

“We came in as a team and arrived around 7 a.m.,” sophomore midfielder and Brevard County native John Bocinsky said.
“We helped set up long tables full of canned goods, milk and drinks to package for kids in need in Brevard County. After we set up, we worked in 45-minute shifts of individually packing, wrapping and carrying out the meals to semi-trucks. We formed an assembly line. It was good to work as a team because we have a lot of chemistry.
