Eastern Florida Golf Team Beats St. Peter’s University
Eastern Florida’s golf team beat NCAA Division I St. Peter’s University yesterday at the Rockledge Country Club.

Eastern Florida shot 368 to 408 for St. Peter’s. Seven golfers competed for each team.
Nick Maynard shot 71 over 18 holes for Eastern Florida. Teammates Arthur Leonard shot 73, Dalton Bartlett shot 74, Kyle Benson and Lorenzo Bolivar shot 75, Drew Cooke shot 76 and Brad Gray shot 77.

“Today was a good opportunity for all seven guys to get out and compete,” said Eastern Florida head coach Jamie Howell. “The golf course played difficult on a windy day. The greens were hard and fast. We did fair with it. We still need to improve.”
Next up for the Titans is the two-day Florida Tech Panther Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at The Majors in Palm Bay. Eastern Florida will be the only NJCAA team competing in the field of four-year NCAA Division II schools.
Eastern Florida Baseball Beats Palm Beach State 4-3 in Conference Game
Eastern Florida’s baseball team beat Palm Beach State 4-3 on Tuesday in a Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference game in Lake Worth.

The victory improved the Titans record to 13-7 overall and 3-2 in the conference. Palm Beach fell to 15-10 and 3-2.
Palm Beach out hit the Titans 11-10 but the Titans executed when the situation demanded it. Freshman right hander Dulvis Borjas was the winning pitcher going 6 1/3 innings allowing nine hits and three runs.

Sophomore righty Chayce Hubbard went 2 1/3 innings for the save.
Sophomore Jack Machonis went 4-for-4 for the Titans with two runs batted in. Freshman Christian Diaz went 2-for-4 with a run batted in while classmate Nick Capra went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
“The guys played a hard-nosed game,” said Eastern Florida head coach Jeff Tam.

“They executed well and made great pitches. They can win a lot of games with that type of execution.”
“We just need to be more consistent and keep grinding.”
The Titans and Panthers play again today with first pitch at 5 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field on the Melbourne Campus. Admission is free.
The Titans then travel to Kendall to play a two-game series with conference foe Miami Dade College at 4 p.m. Friday, and 1 p.m. on Saturday.
